DATE POSTED:May 7, 2020

Due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines, the Palm Beach International Boat Show has announced the live, in-person event will be replaced by a virtual boat show that will launch on May 14, 2020.

The show is one of the biggest in the marine industry and one of the top 5 boat shows in the country. Now in its 35th year, this event showcases over a billion dollars worth of yachts, boats, marine products and accessories from builders and manufacturers around the world.

Andrew Doole, President of Informa Markets U.S. Boat Shows and George Gentile, President of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County released a statement updating all exhibitors and ticket holders, saying “The Virtual Palm Beach International Boat Show will continue to be dedicated to connecting our community of passionate yachting and marine enthusiasts with our nearly 500 premier exhibitors”.

They went on to note that, “in the show’s 35-year history, we have never dealt with a situation such as this” but confirmed that even though the show will not take place in its original form, the organization is looking forward to engaging attendees and exhibitors alike – and to supporting the industry through the new virtual show format.
