The countdown is officially on for the 2026 Caribbean Multihull Challenge (CMC), and now’s the time to claim your place on the starting line—or the rally route. Early registration is open, and signing up now does more than just lock in your entry at the lowest price—it helps organizers shape the experience around the growing and dynamic multihull fleet.
Held annually in the sailing mecca of Sint Maarten and the surrounding Leeward Islands, the CMC has quickly evolved into the premier multihull-only regatta in the region. Since its inaugural edition in 2019, the event has grown in both participation and ambition, expanding to include distance races, a dedicated cruising rally, and even overnight stops in nearby St. Barth’s. Whether you’re racing a high-performance cat or trimaran or joining the rally to cruise in company, this is the Caribbean regatta experience built just for multihulls.
To make it even more attractive, early registrants can take advantage of significant entry fee discounts. Sign up by November 30, 2025, and you’ll pay just $8.00 per foot LOA, with a $240 minimum. After that, rates rise to $12.00 per foot, or $300 minimum.
“Early entries really help our race and rally committees plan ahead,” says longtime CMC co-organizer Stephen Burzon. “With a clearer picture of the fleet, we can fine-tune class splits, course layouts, and our shoreside events to match who’s coming. It makes for a better event for everyone.”
Backed by the Sint Maarten Yacht Club and inspired by the booming presence of multihulls in the Caribbean cruising scene, the CMC was created to give catamaran and trimaran owners their own spotlight. Unlike traditional regattas that group multis and monos together, the CMC focuses solely on multihull sailing—on the water and onshore, where owners and crews gather to share ideas, build friendships, and celebrate their corner of the sailing world.
The official Notice of Race is now online, and registration is live. Whether you’re racing hard or rallying easy, now’s the time to sign up, save, and start dreaming of a warm, windy February in the islands.
