The first Forte 47 Gran Turismo has officially launched, marking a milestone for the Italian builder as it steps into the luxury-yacht segment. After months of construction and finishing work, the 47-foot aluminum yacht recently touched the water for the first time in Ameglia, beginning sea trials ahead of its market debut.
Designed inside and out by Paolo Giordano, the 47 Gran Turismo aims to deliver “mini superyacht” quality in a relatively compact platform. The exterior profile carries crisp lines and balanced proportions, while interiors by Genesis Interiors emphasize a clean, contemporary aesthetic paired with practical cruising comfort.
This first hull is configured with triple 600 hp Mercury Verado V-12 outboards, a setup intended to provide strong acceleration, responsive handling and easy maneuvering.
Naval architecture and structural engineering come from Umberto Tagliavini, whose work focuses on balancing performance, efficiency and structural integrity in the aluminum hull. The yacht’s opening bulwark systems and onboard technical components were engineered in-house by West Navaltech, giving the builder tighter control over systems integration and long-term reliability.
With the launch complete, the Forte 47 Gran Turismo now enters a series of sea trials to validate performance, onboard systems and overall ride quality before deliveries begin.
